According to the article, Casablanca was the considered to be the most celebrative and iconic motion picture in history. The film was based off of Murray Burnett and Joan Allison's play "Everybody Comes to Rick's". The film was a difficult production to make because of the producer had trouble trying to fill in roles, one specifically being the club entertainer role. The producer, Hal B. Wallis, considered Lena Horne and Elza Fitzgerald but finally settled on Dooley Wilson. The film was so popular it received three academy awards and great reviews.

3) The article related to the screening because they were both based off of World War II and the French trying to fight against the Nazis. In the film it was evident that it was well put together because of the picture, music and cinematography. The best classic films have a black and white picture, but the powerfulness of the story and the heartfelt music made it incredibly intriguing to its viewers.

4)Casablanca was a rather enjoyable film. It's message was to focus on both love and separating right from wrong. The film was about a man who was stuck between two of the hardest decisions of his life. His choice of whether to keep the woman he loved so many years ago to himself in Casablanca where she could be potentially arrested, or allow her to escape with the most wanted man in Casablanca to freedom in America. The fact that he loved her so much and ultimately wanted to see her happy, he let her go, which was the hardest decision he ever made.
